Pumpkin facial mask

Did you know that pumpkin can be used as a skin exfoliator, helping to remove dead skin from its surface and brighten your complexion? Pumpkins are great for your skin as they are packed with vitamins A, C, and E (all known to fight wrinkles); plus beta-carotene, zinc, potassium and antioxidants which help to eliminate redness!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree - chop and boil the pumpkin flesh until soft
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar - good for oily skin
  • 2 tsps honey - good for dry/normal skin
  • Optional: 2 slices of cucumber to place over your eyes to help reduce puffiness and soothe the skin around your sockets!

Instructions

  • Put the cooked pumpkin into a food processor until it turns smooth.
  • Add an egg and the apple cider vinegar. If you have dry or normal skin, pop in some honey.
  • Mix everything together and apply to a cleanly washed face with your finger tips or a medium sized makeup brush. Avoid getting the mixture too close to your eyes (another good reason to place cucumber slices on them!).
  • Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse off for a lovely glow and refreshed skin!
